Minutes of ground Jury President and FEI Veterinary ( Appendix 2/3)
EB issued the attached reports from the Ground Jury and Veterinary Inspectorate; both were very complimentary of the Venue, the organisation and the standard of the horses at the competition. Only 2 horses were un-able to play on the last day of the tournament.
- Rules: Yellow Card CR proposal
- Last International rules correction, edition and diffusion
The original wording of the yellow card proposal made in Portugal was: "2nd Yellow card. The Player concerned may take no further part in the game and can be substituted. The player will also serve a one match suspension with immediate effect" TS suggested that the rule is in fact: "1st Yellow card. The Player concerned may take no further part in the game during that half of the game and can be substituted. If the penalty is during the first half of the game, the player can resume play after half time. If the game is part of a tournament, each new game starts with a clean slate; the yellow cards will not be cumulative. If a 2nd Yellow card is received in the same game, the player will serve a one match suspension with immediate effect. “This is very different to the original wording so MP will send out to all FIHB members again & work with NG to establish the new rule as soon as possible. MP to ask Andy Charles to update the rules in future in French and English for the FIHB.
- Organisation, rules etc…To get closer to FEI standards ( i.e. :Veterinary visits)
Several proposals were made for consideration by the FIHB.Ø For the veterinary inspections - to provide music and commentator in order to promote the inspection as an important part of the competition. (EB)Ø Referee Horses should also be inspected. (MP)Ø Illegal Substance testing to be considered in future and that this should be written into the competition specification. EB to write to the FEI regarding testing. Ø Any team veterinarian’s should make themselves known to the official veterinary inspectorate.
- Referee/Trainers Course
EB issued a report on the recently held Referee/Trainers course ( Appendix 4). Feed back from Raoul Verhoeven (Referee course) and Matthew Worthington (trainer’s course) was very good. MP expressed disappointment that more International referees did not attend the course. It was decided to continue with the course every year. It was agreed that for International Competitions, a meeting between the referee’s and team trainers should be arranged by NG before the competition to establish the interpretation of the rules.
- Rules of the World Championship
Proposal to be agreed by FIHB members:Ø For new countries, they may use one player of different Nationality providing that player has fully participated in the countries national competition.
- Argentina World Cup
NG to send out the PATO/Horseball rules to all countries and the list of official referees. The PATO/Horseball World Championship invitation will not be issued via the FEI because it is not an official Horseball competition. The Ground Jury to be asked for Argentina will be André Ponces de Carvalho, Luca Dettoni, and Raoul Verhoeven. NG to propose referees. MP will check who pays for the officials transport. A suitable person who is already at the competition may be asked to be the ‘Appeal Judge’.
- FIHB tournaments: letter and demand from the federation concerning to FIHB
EB issued a procedure (Appendix 5) for countries to hold an International competition (Appendix). MP send to Virginie Cazorla for distribution.
- Sponsorship FIHB (Eric)
A contract has been signed with SLC. They have designed a newer arena barrier, without the metal stand and will supply us with one free of charge in 2006. For any future sales FIHB will receive 7% of the purchase price.
- WEG Demo match
WEG does not have the time to fit in Horseball at Aachen. The next WEG is in Kentucky in 2010.
Next FIHB Bureau MeetingTo be held on March 11th in GB, MP to organise and advise all.
