Crowds of up to 6,000 a night were thrilled by the riders and swarmed the players afterwards for information on Horseball and riders autographs.
The standard of play, horsemanship and turn out was fantastic. The 3 show veterinary surgeons complimented the Horseball teams on the horse's fitness and well-being. The thanks for that must go to the group of 12 grooms from all three countries who worked hard to produce the 25 horses to the high expectations of the show. The show organisers themselves were extremely please again to be able to stage such an exciting spectacle for their audience. This is the 3rd year that the Sheffield Open has hosted Horseball, the French have so far managed to win each tournament, last years final was between Nottingham and Chambly with Belgium 3rd and Europe 4th. |
