What is impressive when you arrive to the Stockholm Horse Show is this huge globe bigger than any other bulding around. During this period he has got on the top of the roof a Christams tree which make it even more attractive.

Inside you find an enormous place with more than 12.000 seats and on one side the restaurant windows allow you to follow what is going on on the field. The show started in the morning and end-up non-stop at midnight.
Do you have any idea how long does it take for a swedish organisation to set-up a complete Horse-Ball filed ? Ladies and gentlemen be ready to beat that impressive record : 4min and 30 seconds ! This gives you an idea of the perfect organisation we have met.

The public was enthousiastic about the game and our players skills, each goal was followed by an ovation.

A press conference was organised and our President, Eric Bassot with a selection of French and German players, explained why Horse-Ball is such an amazing sport and why Sweden should start this new discipline very soon.
Next step for FIHB with the Organisation Committee is to work on a solution for next year which brings here a competition.

Horse-Ball was born in France in the 1950s. The current rules are set-up in 70’. In 1990, Horse-Ball spread to other Europeancountries. In 1992 the first European Championship was organised in Paris where 6 countries are involved in Horse-Ball:Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom.In 2006 a first World Cup is set-up and involve a new continentwith Canda, USA, Brasil and Argentina.Horse-Ball is played between two teams of six riders who must pick up a ball from the ground without dismounting, the teamthen needs to make 3 passes between 3 different players before shooting at goal. Using a game of attack and defence, teamsmust attempt to score goals at each end of a pitch. The pitch is a normal riding area (m. 60 x 20).F.I.H.B. (International Horse Ball Federation) has been recognised by FEI (International Equestrian Federation) since April2004. The discipline is recognised in FEI Group I, II IV, V and VI.FIHB organise, promote international tournaments orchampionships, set-up international rules, monitor and select referees, nominate Ground Jury and, liaise with F.E.I.
