FIHB was present at the FEI General Assembly held in Buenos Aires from 17th to 23rd November.
As every year after the bureau meetings and the regional group meetings, this year the format was slightly different and included a day of Forum and Sessions covering important topics facing the Equestrian disciplines today and the changes in the FEI organisation.
FIHB had the opportunity to present during the PAEC Meeting (Pan American Countries) the sport to an audience of several countries that had never seen the Horse-Ball before. The presentation raised a strong interest and had concrete requests to introduce the discipline in different countries. With the presence of our booth, Marcelo Busto, board member from Argentine and Eric Bassot, FIHB President, were present from 18th to 23rd gathering plenty of contacts with several National Federations willing to introduce the HB in their country. A total of 6 countries in south America, 4 countries in Africa, 2 countries in East Europe, 3 countries in central Europe, 3 countries in Asia.
"I am very pleased of our presence during this General Assembly" said Eric Bassot "if we compare to previous years, we had less questions regarding information than specific requests of support for the development. It is our commitment now to organise specific clinic in the countries interested with the objective to have most of them for a more advanced course during the next European Championship in September 2009 in Spain"

When Horse-Ball for the first time was introduced to the Swedish audience at Stockholm International horse Show 2006 it was a roaring success. The TV commentators said that it was the most fantastic development that the equestrian sport has ever seen, much more exciting that they could ever anticipate. In the thorough public survey among our spectators, that is done every year, it was top ranked. A Champions League Final in Stockholm in the fantastic Globe Arena would be embraced with the greatest interest by media and spectators alike. Ulf Rosengren
