Austria Last moment Cancellation to the World Cup
FIHB PRESS RELEASE: URGENT
We received from the OC of the II FIHB world Cup the cancellation of the Austrian Team of their participation to the competition after having sent their definitive Entry, and this at one week from the start of the competition.
As stated in our General Rules Art. 19.7 FIHB will call very quickly its Disciplinary Commission to decide the sanction to be taken.
The OC and FIHB will decide in the next hours the best formula for the Competition System to be set-up taking in account all the different aspects around it.

What is Horse-Ball
Horse-Ball is a highly spectacular equestrian sport which can be defined as a kind of "basket-ball on a horseback". It was started off in France by French Army Captain Clave, a showjumping World Champion in the 30's. In the 70's the French Equestrian Federation defined the rules on which the game is now played. In 1999 the International Horse-Ball Federation was created to manage and promote the sport across the globe. Horse-Ball today is played by thousands of people in 3 continents. In April 2004 FIHB was recognised by the FEI and Horse-Ball became a Regional discipline in Group I and II.
